Thanks to the surface treatment based on PTFE, the coefficient of friction of the elastomeric component is reduced. With a thin layer of PTFE, coating thickness is reduced in terms of μm.
- 1.Line interlocking and automatic assemblies: promotes the sliding of components.
- 2.Dynamic and static-dynamic applications: promotes sliding and decreases the stick slip effect.
This treatment in Lavelgomma is carried out using a specific spray machine:
The material used, mixed in the correct quantities, is kept inside an automatic mixer which, thanks to a special scale, ensures that the correct quantity of material is continuously supplied to the process.
This flexible process enables to produce both semi-permanent and permanent coatings, depending on the customer’s requirements.
Thanks to this technology it is currently possible to process both water- and solvent-based coatings.
These are the main products that are currently used:
- 1.Klueber TP38-01: water-based product, transparent
- A product suitable for the food, drinking water and pharmaceutical industry
- A NSF-H1 registered product that complies with the EU food regulations.
- Product approved for drinking water according to DVGW worksheet W 270.
- Complies with the requirements established for organic coatings in applications where drinking water is used.
- 2.Fuchs Gleitmo SFL9680: solvent-based product, transparent
- A specific product for the automotive industry
- Product resistant to water, mineral oils and fuels
- 3.Klueber S 03-105: water-based product, white
- Suitable for use as an assembly aid for elastomeric components.
- It reduces the stick slip effect.
